Parched

When a child goes to a shop and shoplifts something, to him, its a victory won. But deep within, he feels a throbbing pain, which he only realises at puberty, or sometimes even later. At this point, when he tries to do the same, his heart trembles and pounds harder as he takes every step and movement. He could succeed, and embrace the victory for that moment. But 15mins later, that throbbing pain visits him again. He looks up and asks for forgiveness, and as promised, it's granted. But the following day it happens just as again. What difference does that forgiveness make, when every other hour, his heart or mind beats the same desire. He knows he is going to fall in the trap. He even gets hurt by it, but yet he fails to step out of it. He lives a life, a life that sees nothing then a mere desert.
